wedding colors

My son is getting married next summer and the colors of the wedding are robin egg blue and chocolate brown.  The mother of the bride is wearing Teal and I am in serious need of some help knowing what would be a good color for me to wear!  I don't have a very good eye for color and would like some feedback on what would be a good color for this occassion!

Re: wedding colors

How about pink?  It goes great with chocolate brown, and should also complement nicely with the robin egg blue and teal.

Re: wedding colors

Yeah - Pink is one of my favorite colors and before the bride chose robin egg blue to go w/ the chocolate brown she had picked pink.  That's a good idea - any other color you could suggest?

Re: wedding colors

How 'bout rose pink?  this shade of pink is more in terms with chocolate brown and it looks good with robin egg blue too.

Re: wedding colors

I would say a pale pink. If its light enough it will go with pretty much anything.

Re: wedding colors

Hi,

Always while matching a color with the other , we can go for complimentary shades.
Robin egg blue is a very nice color and it can go well with Shades of Pink. Blue and green are also good colors which can be matched but when it comes to a grand occassion Pink will be the apt choice as it shows the richness.

Congrats to your son and wishing him A very Happy Married Life !!

You will never go wrong with 'wine' color..  It's elegant and classic.  More so, it blends with egg blue and chocolate brown..  wink

Re: wedding colors

I think that a mint green would look very nice.  Also, you could simply wear a different shade of blue (neither robin's egg, nor teal).  Additionally, a beige, gold, or mauve would also look very nice, sophisticated, and conservative.

Re: wedding colors

I would say go a little more toward blue, it's a no-miss color, maybe something a little more like cobalt (very striking color) or a softer cornflower blue. I like the more minty color too. A pale greener aqua would work well on a blonde or redhead, if brunette I would go a little stronger blue than the robins egg. As for the type of dress a classic sheath with little jacket would be so very chic!

Congrats to your son, and happy shopping.

I think yes pale pink will be fine.It is compatible with blue and brown. But still it will depend on your taste.

Re: wedding colors

Pale pink is a lovely choice with the blue and brown, but I know for me, pink makes me look totally washed out--just not good with my coloring/complexion.  Pale bronze would be a good alternative.

Re: wedding colors

I was going to suggest lime green but it depends on your coloring. At least  those colors seem to go well on this page... lol!  I really like the color combo it's different.  Good luck!
